2026-2027 Registration Process

To ensure your registration is complete, please complete the following steps:

1. Register Online

Early Registration (March 1st - March 31st)

Returning Members: $35

New Members: $50

On-Time Registration (April 1st - August 1st)

Returning Members: $50

New Members: $65

*Registration for the 2026-2027 season closes on August 1st.

2. Welcome Email 

After you complete your online registration for the competitive cheer program you will receive an email with additional information about our program and important dates. Please allow 2-3 days to receive the welcome email. If you don't receive an email within that time frame above, please send an email to info@hottopicallstars.com, so we can confirm your email address. 

3. Attend Team Assessment

Athletes are required to attend our Team Assessments on May 16th.  Athletes who enroll in the program after the May assessments have been completed, can schedule an individual Team Assessment by emailing info@hottopicallstars.com. During the Team Assessments athletes are asked to do a variety of skills, including jumps, motions, tumbling and stunts. After the initial assessment, athletes wanting to be on one of our Elite teams, will be given a Call Back card, so they can return for further assessments. Teams are created based on skill level and age groups. We will create teams in all divisions: Exhibition, Novice, Prep and Elite.

Season 20 - Team Assessment Date

May 16th

ATHLETES: Ages 3-4: (9am – 10am) 

ATHLETES: Ages 5-6: (10am – 12pm) 

ATHLETES: Ages 7 -10 (12Pm – 3pm)

ATHLETES: Ages 11-17 (230pm – 530pm) 

Please arrive 15 minutes early to your assessment session.

4. Attend a Parent Orientation Meeting

Parent Orientation meetings will be scheduled at the end of May for all teams prior to starting the official training program this summer. During the Parent Orientation meetings, parents will get a chance to meet the coaching staff as well as discuss the layout of the season, financial commitment, payment schedule, fundraising opportunities, practice schedule, choreography dates and competition schedule. Parents will also have an opportunity to ask questions. Location: Hot Topic Gym

PARENT ORIENTATION MEETINGS (Mark Your Calendars)

May 26th - Exhibition and Novice Teams (Time: 7:00pm)

May 27TH - Prep Teams (Time: 7:00pm)

May 28TH - Elite Teams (Time: 7:00pm)

5. Pay Annual Commitment Fee ($275)

Parents are responsible for submitting the Annual Commitment Fee ($275) prior to starting our summer training session. The Annual Commitment Fee covers the HT gym membership and athlete's insurance for the 2026-2027 cheer season. This is a one-time payment and is NON-REFUNDABLE. Athletes are unable to start training until their commitment fee is paid. Annual Commitment Fee is due by May 29th.

6. Summer Training Session (June - August)

Athletes will start summer training at the top of June. During summer training, athletes will learn the fundamentals of jumps, stunts, motions, dance and tumbling based on their team level. Teams will receive their choreography starting in August and throughout the remainder of the summer. Teams will also have scheduled stunt clinics.

7. Choreography 

(Blackout Dates - ALL TEAMS IN ALL TIERS WILL FALL IN THIS WINDOW) 

• Scheduled to begin July 25 through August 21
• MANDATORY ATTENDANCE REQUIRED
• This is the most important time for athletes to be in the gym
• Choreographers will create routines for the entire season during these sessions
• Athletes who miss choreography miss the opportunity to showcase their skills to the choreographer
• Attendance ensures proper placement in routines that highlight each athlete's strengths
• Specific dates and times for each team will be provided at the Parent Orientation Meeting
